A Simple Trust
With everything that's going on in the world right now due to Coronavirus it's easy to forget that God is still in control over every small detail in life. Recently in the past weeks I was feeling completely overwhelmed with everything that was crashing in on me. It seemed that around every corner disaster awaited. In reality however, it was my lack of faith that caused the stress and discouragement to flood my soul. I was confronted with many decisions, several of which were hinged on another. I thought it impossible to make the right choice. However, after all these things had piled up and I felt I could take no more, something happened. I went on a walk. Now this is a small thing, but it was enough. A small effort was enough. Out on the mountainside, flowers in hand, thoughts racing, I realized that I didn't have to have all the answers in that instant. In fact, all He was requiring of me was to explicitly trust Him, and to believe that he would take care of the rest. In the hubbub of life I had lost sight of the one thing that could give me the peace I so desired. Out on the grassy slope, alive with the chirping of birds and the new spring wildflowers I learned that a simple faith and trust in the One who can see the whole plan could save me so much heartache. He has a plan for you too. Trust Him.
"Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord."
Psalm 27:14
So very true... we need a greater trust.
