Meet the Girls!
These cuties joined our little farm almost a full two months ago! It's ridiculous it's taken me this long to share them with y'all 😜 However, I'm SOOO excited to get show them off now!
Meet Harlow
She has a quiet, shy demeanor about her. However, she definitely has a loud voice if she chooses to use it. She's usually not as obnoxious as her sister, but is true to goat nature by being both curious and affectionate. Just give her time to warm up 😉 She always wants you to stop by and say "hi" if you're walking past the goat barn. She is absolutely ADORABLE, just look at those markings!!!
Meet Poplar
She's is extremely friendly and will most assuredly let you know if your neglecting her :) She loves for me to just go out there and sit on a log and let her climb all over me and try to push me off. It's adorable! Her and Nolan like to play head-butting together 😏 (I told him he better watch out when she gets bigger!) She is a real sweety and brings us loads of entertainment and headaches!!
I bought these girls about two months ago from a lady who lives in Rogue River. I'd been looking to get goats again for quite some time but just hadn't found the right thing. I was sooo excited to find these lovely ladies! They are twin sisters form excellent milking lines. My ultimate goal is too breed them and sell the babies, but I mean who can't help wanting goats just for fun?!?! I may do something with the milk too. Not sure if I'm gonna go that route yet or not. But what can be more fun than raising baby goats?!?!?! These girls are full Nigerian Dwarf and won't get extremely big. They are my favorite breed of goat, although I do hope to add a Mini Nubian to my herd eventually 😉 Right now they are about 5 months old. I will most likely wait to breed them until they are about a year or so. I can't wait to have more baby goaties around!!! I'll keep you updated on my little herd and may even start sharing how I'm caring for my goats!
Here's a snapshot of their little dwelling 😊
Hope you all enjoyed meeting Harlow and Poplar, you'll be seeing more of them!
Until next time, have a fabulous week!
Blessings,
Sarah 💛
They are a lot of fun! Never a dull moment with these two around 😉 🐐
