Family Beach Vacation 💙
Hey Friends!
It's been way too long since I've posted on here so get ready for a long one!!!
My family and I just got back from a week-long stay at a beach house in Lincoln City, Oregon. We had such a wonderful vacation filled with hot tub soaks, puzzles, games, cookies, wind, and smiles! 😊 Plus we got an extra day than we had planned on for a really good deal! Yay! We are so blessed to have been able to go!
Here is a brief overview of our 6 day stay!
First up -The Beach (of course!)
The community we stayed in is called Belhaven and it has lots of nice walking areas and fun houses to look at. We took several strolls down along the beach to see the waves and all the beach front homes. Then we would walk back along the road looking at all the rental houses up there. It was surprisingly warm for the ocean and not super windy the first time, but then it did get chilly and stormy later on. Both were great! 😉
Here's a few shots we took on our walks!
Mama and Nolan 💖
I have a thing about road pics! hehe
Ethan made us Gingerbread Stars! So tasty and festive. He did an excellent job! They got devoured quickly while we played games!
We also attempted some family pictures during our stay. I think we captured a few pretty good ones! Who'd of thought it would be SO challenging to get 7 people all looking, smiling, and NOT blinking at the same time?!?!?! We did have fun though :)
Just look at the beautiful color of this fruit!
The pomegranates went deliciously with the fresh pineapple we brought! 😋
We spent sooo much of our time doing puzzles! It was just really nice to sit and do a puzzle while listening to music and chatting. We did quite a few pretty hard 1000 piece ones and a few easier ones too. Nolan did a few smaller ones all by himself 😏
I also got caught up on some much needed card making. I had been meaning to make cards for several people for a long time, so it fell good to finally get it done! Plus it was really relaxing and fun!
On our last day there I made Swig Sugar Cookies! You guys these are soo scrumptious! They are HUGE and they melt in your mouth. I made the cookies while the guys were playing basketball at the outdoor court and then Nolan, Ethan, Mom, and I frosted them together. Oh and of course we all contributed in eating them. 😉
There you have it folks! You got a pretty full review of our beach vacation. We had such a good time! Originally we had booked 4 nights but we ended up getting an extra night for way cheap! Our neighbors we're so generous to take care of our little farm for one more day! It was nice to have that last day. We had hurriedly finished up all the things we wanted to do the day before because we thought it was our last day, but then we got an extra day that we we're able to just rest. We're so thankful!
Until next time, I hope you all have a lovely and blessed week!
Blessings,
Sarah 💛
